The Three Pearls

I’m an artist who writes a bit and follows the The Three Pearls (left).

I was a single parent struggling with clinical depression when I started making collages out of scraps of origami paper and holy cards at the kitchen table.

Feed the Beauty™

One day I wrote this down on an index card:

I kept saying and doing those words over and over. I developed a passion & determination to figure things out through my art & words.

I listened. I wrote down ideas and poems. I painted my children, prayers, and struggles into my work. I tried many different styles and mediums – from Byzantine icons in acrylic to paper-mache Elvis mirrors, to my current mixed media paintings and drawings. I moved out of the kitchen to a separate studio room, then to a small building.

Thirty years of beauty feeding kept lighting a fire of grace. Grace burns-you can’t ignore it. So I wrote a book with pictures. Here’s what I learned and why you should pay attention:

No fancy, elusive, expensive exclusive message here.

But wait – Aristotle said “…to attain any assured knowledge of the soul is one of the most difficult things in the world.”

I believed that once. Not any more.

Answers of hope and comfort are available and present to everyone through the mind, heart and will—the soul.

Inside my soul I found comfort, humor and inspiration. I can show you a way…
